About the Artist

Paula Manning-Lewis

I’m a landscape painter living on the edge of the Gila National Forest in Southwestern New Mexico. Expansive landscapes and towering trees fill me with joy and awe. For 30 plus years I’ve created art of different styles and subjects. With the wilderness in my backyard, I’ve come full circle to painting the one thing that has inspired me more than any other, nature!

If you would like to feel a connection to the untouched and serene world of the wilderness, these landscapes will take you to a pristine world, creating a feeling that you are the first to step foot there. I invite you to a place where art is a spiritual expression from the deepest part of the soul.

Time spent in the wilderness is my biggest source of renewal and inspiration. When I’m not completely absorbed in the studio I spend my time with my husband of 29 years hiking, camping, and exploring the Gila wilderness. We have hiked in New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, Utah, and California. In September of 2023 we fulfilled a life long dream to backpack the Grand Canyon.
